Diabetes Care

Valle del Sol offers an integrated approach to healthcare, meaning we combine primary care and mental health services to treat your whole person: mind, body and spirit! This can be especially important when it comes to managing chronic conditions like diabetes.

In fact, the term diabetes includes several different disorders that, together, can lead to unhealthy glucose levels. And left untreated, diabetes can lead to a number of other serious complications.

Our experienced providers and support staff are here to help you manage your diabetes to live your best life! Call today to schedule an appointment.

Insurance:
AHCCCS and most private insurance plans accepted. No health insurance? We can make your visits affordable and can assist you in receiving state health care if you are eligible.

Eye Exams

You may have great eyesight, but a diabetes diagnosis comes with heightened risk for glaucoma, cataracts, retinopathy and other problems that may ultimately lead to blindness. Regular eye exams can catch these problems while they are treatable.

Foot Exams

Complications from diabetes can lead to nerve damage, poor circulation, infection, and foot ulcers. It is the leading cause of non-traumatic limb amputation. Your physician will ask you about how your feet have been feeling and will check for cuts, sores, discoloration, and other abnormalities.

Healthy Living Classes

A major part of managing your diabetes is improving your diet and getting regular exercise, even just 30 minutes a day. But finding the right balance takes some testing and patience! We offer classes and counseling on how to get it just right, even on a budget.

Regular Tests

Keeping an eye on certain functions in your body will be important. We will want to regularly check your: A1C, cholesterol, blood pressure, and kidney function.

Stress Management

Managing a chronic condition like diabetes can be overwhelming, and if you’re not in good mental shape, it’ll be that much harder to keep in good physical shape. We’re committed to helping you be in charge of your diabetes instead of the other way around.
