A group of committed women, each already in responsible, demanding careers and leadership roles, formed the Latina Giving Circle in 2009. The Latina Giving Circle embraces the value of time, talent and treasure and recognizes personal and collaborative philanthropy as a method that allows for more meaningful impact. They made a commitment to promote and support each other because it’s important and should be encouraged, assisted and celebrated. They made more forward commitments to empower and encourage other young Latinas, to assist Latinas regardless of age develop professionally, and to provide funding in areas of importance to the members. These women had the dream of finding resources to address issues and needs. They learned more to develop those resources. They worked with the Arizona Community Foundation to develop their understanding of the requirements to develop a fund. They gave countless hours to help make this dream come true and as a result have become stronger more empowered women. Seeing the growth of their efforts and having the satisfaction that they have built a resource that will be enduring and will make a difference.
