A Program for Older Adults

Many older adults suffer from social isolation, loneliness, depression, grieving the loss of friends and loved ones, changing roles, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. However, older adults do not have to face dealing with these issues alone.

Tiempo de Oro is a free and confidential program to help older adults, in the VARS program area, achieve and maintain a healthy emotional life. Services provided are culturally sensitive in a diverse and changing society.

The services offered include:

• Prevention Education Classes on topics such as changing roles, coping with loss, and healthy aging
• Transition Workshops to help seniors connect with others for support
• Home Based Prevention for seniors at risk

All services are available in English and Spanish.
