COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTERS

A Program for Families

Located in schools and community centers, the Community Resource Centers' programs are designed to help families become more self sufficient through educational opportunities, culturally sensitive programs, community resources, as well as become more involved in the community through the parent volunteer program.

A safe environment offers services that focus on basic needs, family strengths, and family preservation while addressing topics such as self-esteem, problem solving, parenting, substance abuse and suicide prevention. Valle del Sol involves the whole community by collaborating with community organizations, school districts, principals, teachers, parents, children and family members.

The services offered include, but are not limited to:

• Educational Opportunities
• Parenting Workshops
• Substance Abuse, and Suicide Prevention
• ESL Classes (English as a Second Language)
• GED Preparation
• Computer Literacy
• Youth Life Skills & Youth Theatre
• School Supplies & Uniforms
• Assistance in Obtaining Food
• Referrals to Community Resources
