MISSION

The African-American Leadership Institute (AALI) promotes the individual development of African-Americans for increased participation in leadership roles and serves as a principal education and networking resource for expertise and advocacy on leadership issues affecting and impacting our communities.

PROGRAM

The African-American Leadership Institute is designed to educate and assist individuals in developing and expanding their leadership skills to take an active role in the community.

 

CURRICULUM

AALI is a 10-week program of weekly classes conducted in the evening and a one day leadership retreat focusing on cultural identity, team-building and service to the community. AALI also offers participants the opportunity to engage Arizona’s foremost business and policy authorities in a continuing dialogue about leadership and the African-American community. AALI enhances and underscores an understanding of the role culture plays in leadership development.

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION AND APPLICATION PROCESS

 

  • Sessions for AALI 2010 begin October 5, 2010
  • Classes are from 6 pm-9 pm
  • Program Tuition is $550
  • Application deadline is September 3, 2010
