Responsibilities include opening and closing clinic prepared to provide services to patients ensuring a timely patient flow through the clinical process. The Medical Assistant is responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and stocking the clinic. Under the medical oversight of a doctor or nurse practitioner, the MA will coordinate and manage patient care to include preparing patients for treatment and exam, translation, referrals, documentation, and performing routine specialized procedures adhering to Federal, State, and agency policy and procedure. Mobile health program patients of Valle del Sol are served at community-based events at a variety of locations as assigned. This role requires flexibility in scheduling including early hours, late hours, and occasional weekend events. This individual is part of an independent Mobile Health team and helping coordinate event set up, tear down, and follow up is expected.


· 18 years or older

· Graduation and diploma from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program

· Must complete internal credentialing and privileging within 90 days of hire date

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion

· Ability to provide culturally sensitive services

· Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systems

· TB test, Hep B Vaccine, Immunization Records

· Must have or be able to obtain valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

· CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) trained or the ability to be trained within 90 days of hire date

· Basic Life Support trained or the ability to be trained within 90 days of hire date

· Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance or sign waiver
