Program Description

Valle del Sol Community Health is committed to providing high quality services to meet the needs of our communities. We are happy to announce our Peer Certification Training. Individuals seeking to work as Peer and Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) can now take our Peer Certification training. PRSS utilize their own lived experience to serve others by promoting recovery-oriented environments, as well as offering support during individuals’ recovery journey. This training is an AHCCCS-OIFA approved curriculum delivered in three full days. Currently, we offer this training once a month and it can be virtual or in person and our training provides specialized skills on how to use their experience to help others. Additionally, Valle del Sol Peer certification Curriculum includes a section on Peer Support for diverse populations.

Criteria to join our program:

- Complete the application. (View application here )

- Commitment to complete the three full days of the program.

- Commitment to fully participate in the training and assigned activities.

- Submit payment in full at least three days before class starts.

Valle del Sol has partnered with Arizona Peer & Family Career Academy to ensure opportunities for continuing education for our certified PRSS, as required by AHCCCS. Check their calendar:
