Mario Islas, MD
Dr. Islas is a board-certified family medicine physician with over 25 years of experience. He grew up in Southern Arizona and studied Nutritional Science and subsequently earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona. He completed his residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. His experience includes three deployments with the United States Navy, medical director of community health center clinics, Chief of Medical Staff at Arizona State University Health Services as well as caring for underserved communities. He joins the Valle del Sol team in 2024 and is excited to help impact the community’s health.Mario Islas, MD

Jessie Ball, FNP-BC Jessie Ball is a California native who has settled in Arizona with her two sons and her husband. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner currently working in primary care at Valle del Sol’s Mesa location. Over the course of her 17 years as a nurse, she developed extensive experience through trauma emergency room nursing (certified trauma nurse), pediatrics, triage, and working for the U.S. Embassy health clinic while living abroad in Brussels, Belgium. Ball traveled often to assist at Embassy clinics around the world and to provide CPR training to staff and Marines assigned to the Embassy and U.S. NATO. She also developed a special needs education program for the U.S. Embassy which earned her a Meritorious Honor award from the Ambassador to Belgium. It was through this work that she developed an appreciation for cultural differences and sensitivity and a love for patient communication and education. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Ball holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program of Chamberlain University where she graduated with honors. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and American Nurses Association, and she is certified in Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS).Jessie Ball, FNP-BC

Ana McNabb, FNP-C, PMHNP Ana Lucia McNabb is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner fluent in English and Spanish with 17 years of experience in the healthcare field. She joined Valle del Sol in 2019 to continue working with high-risk populations. Her previous education includes Communication and Physiology degrees from the University of Arizona and her BSN from Northern Arizona University. While working in Case Management, Risk Adjustment, and Hedis measures as an RN she obtained her MSN from Simmons College in 2015 and obtained her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In 2020 she obtained her post masters certificate as a Psychiatric Mental health Nurse practitioner. Her experience in delivering healthcare to bilingual families has allowed patients to feel at ease in discussing some of the most challenging aspects of the current pandemic. Amy Basch, FNP-C, BSN, RN
Having grown up in a medical family, it was clear to Amy what her calling was for a career. Starting out as a CNA in 2002, Amy finished her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2005. With education always being on the forefront of her brain, she went back to school to complete her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2009 and Master’s in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. In her first year of practice, Amy was selected by the International Nurses Association as the Top Family Nurse Practitioner for Phoenix in 2017. Working in demanding areas like wound care, pain management, medical aesthetics, and geriatrics, Amy is well rounded and eager to learn and teach patients and families. Amy joined Valle del Sol family in 2023 and is excited to assist those less fortunate. Amy is a native of Arizona, has one brilliant son, 17 years old, that is starting college next year for medicine. While becoming an “empty nester”, Amy will be going back to school to complete her Doctorate of Nursing is in the verizon for Amy all with the support of her family and two dogs, Persephone and Boris. With more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare field. Andrea Quirino is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Valle Del Sol. She earned her Master's in Nursing with a specialty in Family Health from South University, following the completion of a Bachelor's in the Science of Nursing at Grand Canyon University. With a robust background, Andrea Quirino has gained extensive experience in caring for patients in telemetry units and emergency rooms. Over the past three years, she has been providing comprehensive services as a Family Health Nurse Practitioner in the West Valley. Being bilingual, Andrea takes pride in offering primary care to all individuals and ensuring Spanish speakers receive healthcare services in their language. Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, specifically in the West Valley, Andrea is deeply connected to my community. Jennifer Davis, FNP-C, MSN, APRN
For the last five years, Jen Davis and her family—husband, two kids, two dogs, and a bearded dragon—have called the Phoenix area home. Despite not being a native Arizonan, she spent seven years in Yuma previously and grew up in a desert environment. Jen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and presently works in primary care. After completing her nursing degree at West Texas A&M University in 2000, she has worked as a nurse for the past 24 years, including seven years as an Army Nurse Corps Officer. Jen earned an MSN in Healthcare Quality and Safety from Southern New Hampshire University and a Post-Masters Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University. She has extensive experience in a variety of nursing specialties, including pediatrics, orthopedics, critical care, home health, nursing education, and leadership. However, her expertise is mostly in PeriAnesthesia/ PACU nursing (certified PACU nurse). These roles included working in multiple countries and eight different U.S. states. Jen is proficient in Spanish and eager to care for and educate patients and families of all ages. Jen has membership in several nursing organizations, including the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Army Nurse Corps Association. Katie Norman is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of diverse experience in the healthcare field.
