Birth to Five Medical Services in Phoenix and Mesa
Supporting Families When Parenting Feels Hard
Tantrums at the grocery store. Biting at daycare. Nights when your toddler won't stop crying and you don't know why. Parenting young children brings moments when you need support, not judgment. Valle Del Sol Community Health serves families across the Valley with our Birth to Five program, designed to help children from infancy through age five grow emotionally, socially, and get ready for school.
We remove the barriers that keep families from getting help: language, cost, and the fear of being told you're doing something wrong.
Young children learn about their world through relationships. When those relationships feel safe and nurturing, children build confidence and the ability to explore. When families face hardship, stress affects everyone. Our program strengthens the relationships that help children thrive, and we work with the whole family to build stability.
How We Support Your Family
We recognize that raising young children means navigating tough moments and big emotions. Our Birth to Five program gives families tools, connection, and relief:
- Early Childhood Support Specialists connect you to resources and help you work through multiple systems of care
- Birth to Five Therapists trained specifically in working with very young children and their caregivers
- Circle of Security parenting groups that teach you to read your child's emotional needs and respond with confidence
- Support for pregnant mothers and expectant parents preparing for the journey ahead
- Help addressing specific behaviors like biting, tantrums, aggression, difficulty following directions, and reduced communication
- Resources for families experiencing parental distress, postpartum depression, child welfare involvement, or early education expulsion
We accept walk-ins, work with your insurance, and offer sliding-fee scale options. Nobody gets turned away because they don't have the right paperwork or the ability to pay.

Your Experience With Our Team
When you come to Valle Del Sol Community Health for Birth to Five services, you meet with English and Spanish-speaking staff who understand our community. We build a relationship with you and your child, watching how you interact and finding strengths to build on. Our therapists focus on strengthening relationships between caregivers and children, which addresses challenging behaviors and difficult situations your family faces.
We coordinate care across our services when families need it. If you're dealing with postpartum depression while your toddler struggles with tantrums, we connect you to both behavioral health support and early childhood services. Treating the whole family means recognizing that your well-being affects your child's development, and your child's behavior affects your stress
