Valle del Sol has earned the highest level of accreditation from The Joint Commission, the Gold Seal of Approval ® for Primary Care, Psychiatric and Behavioral Health services. This marks the first time Valle del Sol has achieved this level of recognition, highlighting the organization’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care.
The Joint Commission is an independent, evidence-based standards-setting organization that accredits and certifies healthcare organizations across the United States. Its accreditation process evaluates healthcare providers against rigorous national standards designed to ensure patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
Achieving this accreditation reflects Valle del Sol’s dedication to meeting and exceeding these standards while providing comprehensive care to the communities it serves.
MERCY Care Block Grant Funding

Valle del Sol is proud to serve as a recipient of competitive block grant funding through Mercy Care, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality behavioral health and substance use treatment services to some of Arizona's most vulnerable individuals and families. These grant investments expand access to critical care, helping ensure that uninsured and underinsured community members receive the support they need to achieve improved health and well-being.
Substance Use Block Grant (SUBG)
Supports prevention, treatment, and recovery services for individuals experiencing substance use disorders, expanding access to evidence-based care and recovery resources.
Mental Health Block Grant (MHBG)
Provides funding for behavioral health services for children and adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and adults living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), helping individuals access comprehensive, community-based mental health care.
State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant
Supports innovative and evidence-based strategies to address opioid use disorder, including prevention, treatment, recovery support, and overdose reduction efforts in communities across Arizona.
Diabetes Education (ADCES)
Accredited by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES), recognizing our commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based diabetes education and self-management support to help patients live healthier lives.
