Opioid Treatment Programs in Phoenix and Mesa

How to Get Methadone Treatment and Support for Opioid Addiction

Opioid addiction affects entire families, not just the person struggling with substance use. Whether you've watched someone you love disappear into addiction, or you're fighting to take your own life back. Either way, you need real help, not judgment.

Valle Del Sol Community Health serves the Valley with Opioid Treatment Programs that treat the whole person. We provide methadone treatment and Suboxone support alongside counseling, case management, and primary care. Language, cost, and insurance status won't keep you out.

We accept walk-ins, work with your current insurance coverage, and offer sliding-fee scales because everyone deserves a path to recovery.

What Opioid Abuse Treatment Includes

Effective treatment combines medication with counseling and support. Here's what you get when you come to Valle Del Sol Community Health for help with opioid abuse:

  • Daily methadone or Suboxone medication is administered on-site during your first week, with visits moving to twice monthly and then monthly as you progress
  • Individual counseling sessions where you work one-on-one with a therapist who understands addiction and recovery
  • Group counseling that connects you with others facing similar challenges
  • Intensive case management to help coordinate housing, employment, legal issues, and other life needs
  • Access to primary care physicians for your overall health
  • Coordination with our behavioral health team for mental health support
  • Urine analysis and monitoring to track your progress

Treatment works when you have the right support system around you. We accept most insurance plans and offer sliding-fee options for those without coverage. Walk-ins are welcome, and we never turn anyone away because they can't pay.

Your First Visit and What Happens Next

At your intake appointment, a counselor completes all assessments and screenings with you, including a urine analysis. You'll meet with our doctor to discuss your history with opioid addiction and determine whether methadone treatment or Suboxone is right for your situation. Our English and Spanish-speaking staff ensure you understand every step of the process in the language you're most comfortable with.

For the first week, you come in daily for your medication. This gives us time to find the right dosage and make sure you're responding well. After that first week, visits move to twice monthly, then monthly as you build stability. You'll continue meeting with your counselor and have access to our full team of physicians and therapists. We coordinate your care so everyone working with you knows how to support your recovery.
