School-Based Mental Health in Phoenix and Mesa
Why Mental Health Support in Schools Matters
Students face pressure every day. Academic stress, family challenges, social anxiety, and trauma show up in classrooms across the Valley. When a child struggles with their mental health, learning becomes harder and home life suffers. Valle Del Sol Community Health brings behavioral health services directly to school campuses, removing the barriers families face when trying to access care.
We work alongside educators, parents, and school staff to provide on-site counseling, assessments, and trauma-informed support. No child gets turned away because of insurance status or ability to pay.
Mental Health Services We Provide at Your School

What to Expect When Your Child Receives School-Based Mental Health Services
Your child meets with the same therapist in a private, comfortable space on campus during the school day. Parents provide consent before services begin, and our team coordinates with you throughout treatment. Sessions focus on building coping skills, processing emotions, and addressing the specific challenges your child faces. Our counselors speak both English and Spanish, creating a welcoming environment where students feel understood and respected.
Valle Del Sol Community Health's school-based program connects directly to our network of health centers throughout the Valley. If your child needs medication management, primary care, or specialized services, we coordinate that care without requiring you to navigate multiple systems.
How Schools Can Partner to Support Student Mental Health
