Luis De La Cruz serves as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Valle del Sol. Bringing a unique combination of enterprise strategy, public policy, and nonprofit executive leadership, Luis spearheads enterprise strategic priorities, organizational growth, and strategic community partnerships across Arizona.
Prior to joining Valle del Sol, Luis served as President & CEO of the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, one of the state’s largest and longest-serving foster care nonprofits. Before leading in the social sector, he worked in value chain strategy at Deloitte, advising multinational companies. His community leadership has earned him widespread recognition across Arizona, including the Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40, Phoenix Magazine Great 48, Valle del Sol’s Profile of Success, and features in The Arizona Republic and Frontdoors Media.
Dedicated to creating communities where everyone can thrive, Luis holds two undergraduate business degrees from Arizona State University—where he authored an award-winning thesis on U.S. immigration law—and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
Outside of work, Luis spends time with his wife and their two sons, Mateo and Sebastian, and enjoys traveling and a good nap.
