Bio

Gouni Bouraima, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized behavioral health care. She believes effective mental healthcare begins with listening and strives to create a welcoming, respectful environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care.

Gouni provides care to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of behavioral health needs, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other complex mental health conditions. Her clinical interests include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and serious mental illness.

Her professional experience spans outpatient, residential, crisis, inpatient, and correctional settings, giving her experience supporting individuals with varying levels of mental health needs -- from those seeking ongoing support to those experiencing acute psychiatric concerns.

Gouni earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and master’s degree from Walden University and is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She takes a collaborative approach to treatment, partnering with each patient to develop an individualized plan that reflects their needs, goals, values, and daily life.
